1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Apna District handles information when you use the app. Apna District is an independent local guide application and is not an official government app.
The app provides public local-guide features without requiring sign-in. Creator and merchant tools use a secure sign-in system.

3. Information Stored on Your Device
The app stores a limited set of preferences locally on your device so core features can work properly. This includes:
- saved place selections
- language mode preference
- a cached login status to keep you signed in to your session
These items are stored using local app storage. Saved-place and language preferences stay on the device.
4. Information Collected for Optional Creator and Merchant Features
If you register a creator/influencer profile or use merchant tools, the app and servers may handle:
- email address
- phone number
- Secure account and login identifiers
- Your name and profile details, when signing in
- merchant shop details and merchant-created post content
- creator/influencer profile details (such as your name, social handle/links, category, biography, profile photo URL, and follower statistics)
5. Permissions and Device Access
The app does not request runtime access to sensitive device permissions such as location, contacts, camera, microphone, phone state, or storage access.
Internet access is required for live deals, account sign-in, and server-backed creator or merchant features.
6. How Data Is Used
Local app preferences are used only to support the features you choose inside the app, such as saving places and switching display language.
Sign-in and account data are used to manage your account, keep you signed in, place creator profiles in the public guide, manage merchant shops, and publish merchant posts.
7. Sharing and Third-Party Services
The app uses secure third-party login providers to sign in optional creator and merchant users. The app also sends account and merchant-management requests to our secure servers.
If you use actions such as opening a map, opening a website, sharing content, or dialing a phone number, the app hands that request to another app on your device only after you initiate that action.
The app does not use advertising SDKs, does not use analytics or cross-app tracking SDKs, and does not sell personal data.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
The app keeps locally stored preferences on your device until you remove them yourself by:
- uninstalling the app, or
- clearing the app's storage from your device settings
If you created a creator/influencer profile or used a signed-in merchant account, you can request deletion from inside the app. Account deletion removes your account and any linked creator profile, merchant shop, and merchant post data from our servers.
9. Security
Android app sandboxing and device-level protections apply to local app storage. All account and server data transfer is sent securely using encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Backup is disabled in the app configuration so these local preferences are not intended to be exported by the app through Android backup.
10. Children's Privacy
The app is a general-audience local information app and is not specifically directed to children.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the app's features, data handling practices, or legal requirements change. The latest version should always be published at the URL used for the app's Privacy Policy in Google Play.
